[…] The three biggest things I’d recommend to a bride: 1. When choosing a wedding dress, try to sit down in it before saying ‘yes to the dress’! Two weeks prior to my ceremony, I realized I could not sit in my wedding dress so I panicked and shopped a sample sale at Altar Bridal where I found the perfect dress for the mountains and had to quickly get it altered. 2. Hire an amazing photographer. Put majority of your budget there. It is the only thing you have left from your amazing day. You spend so much time and effort planning it, you don’t want to go with anything less than the best. 3. Hire a videographer! I went back and forth on this for months knowing it isn’t a necessity, but also knew that all I would have left are still photos, so having a video would show another version of the emotions and story from the day. After I got my wedding photos back, I was so looking forward to seeing my video and I do not regret spending the extra! I’ve already watched it more than I should admit.
